Description
The ‘Free Hḷúlu’ earrings are a statement of resistance, remembrance, and solidarity.
The butterfly carries the words “Human Rights” and “Abolish ICE” etched across its wings, a symbol of transformation and collective liberation. Below it, a flower blooms both elements rendered in formline motifs and carefully cut from wood, with an abalone accent at the heart of the flower. Beauty and protest coexist here, because they have to.
This design was shaped with guidance and mentorship from KC Hall of Hstry Mkrs. I am deeply grateful for his time, knowledge, and support throughout this process. His guidance helped strengthen both the vision and execution of this piece.
These earrings are being released in alignment with the nationwide strike on January 30th, in support of abolishing ICE. They are extremely limited, with only 10 pairs available in each color.
We are sending our energy, love, and light to everyone fighting the good fight against the injustices happening across this nation, especially to those in Minneapolis right now. We stand in full solidarity.
As Indigenous people, we are outraged. Colonization imposed imaginary borders to divide us, criminalize movement, and erase the truth of our histories. Native people, who have been here since time immemorial, are being arrested and detained on their own lands. That violence is not new, but it is no less unacceptable.
These earrings hold our grief and our anger, and they turn it outward into giving back, into resistance, into care for our relatives.
Because every human has rights.

Care
Care
Ğiáxsix̌a for supporting Copper Canoe Woman! We want to give you some tips on caring for your pieces to help ensure that you’ll be able to wear it for the years to come.
Care Tips:
- Please treat your jewelry with care. We don’t recommend storing your jewelry in a bag/purse, unless it’s wrapped in fabric, tucked into a small jewelry bag/roll, or in it’s original packaging.
- Take care when putting on jackets, purses, and bags so your jewelry doesn’t snag.
- Try not to let your jewelry get wet, please remove before showering or swimming. Water can damage the findings, and other metal parts of our jewelry.
- Put your jewelry on as a finishing touch. Perfumes, sunscreens, bug sprays and various skincare products can cause discoloration or a change in texture of any acrylic pieces in the jewelry.
- Avoid leaving your jewelry in the bathroom, or other humid environments. Humidity causes metal to tarnish.
- To clean the acrylic pieces, a microfiber cloth (and a little bit of water for stubborn marks) will leave them looking brand new.
- To clean brass pieces we suggest mild soap and water, or a non-abrasive jewelry cleaner. Please make sure that your brass jewelry is completely dried to avoid tarnishing.
- Please do not use any products that contain alcohol to clean your jewelry as it can damage the finish.
If you have any other questions, please contact us! We’re happy to help.
