Collection: Shop the Runway

wúɫ:wuɫa – To Rise and Rise Again
A Runway Collection by Copper Canoe Woman

This collection of earrings and purses carries the fire of the runway and the spirit of our ancestors. Born from the 2025 SWAIA Native Fashion Week showcase, wúɫ:wuɫa — a Haíɫzaqv word meaning “to rise and rise again” — honors the sacred act of resilience, creation, and self-expression. These pieces are either direct from the runway or inspired by it, embodying a future-facing aesthetic deeply rooted in ancestral knowledge.

Crafted from a blend of traditional and contemporary materials — woven cedar, abalone shell, dentalium, buffalo bone, rose quartz, and laser-cut acrylics — this collection reflects our legacy of making beauty from what’s around us. Inspired by Potlatch regalia, the tipping of the moon in Haíɫzaqv cosmology, and the radiant strength of matriarchs, each adornment carries layers of meaning and memory.

This work is for the land. For my late Granny Margaret, whose voice echoed through our show and our hearts. For every Indigenous child dreaming of making art through their own lens. And for those who keep showing up — breathing life into stories, into garments, into possibility.

wúɫ:wuɫa is more than adornment — it is our collective rising.
