"My art is an expression of liberation. Liberate all occupied and oppressed people worldwide." – CCW
I create art to honor my ancestors who were killed while expressing their inherent right to enact ceremony and live creative lives. This collection pays homage to the resilience of my lineage—those who endured the potlatch ban, residential schools, and oppressive racist federal policies. Through my art, I stand with all people experiencing settler occupation, Western imperialism, colonialism, and genocide. We are not free until we are all free. Liberation for all humans means liberation from colonialism.
For this design, I used earthy tones to symbolize our deep connection to the land. The hand-dyed sheep's wool and shell buttons pay tribute to the people of this place I call home—Lummi. We are a healing people, and each generation has the sacred opportunity to tell their story. This piece is my small but meaningful contribution to that ongoing story of resilience, healing, and liberation.
Shipping TBD by location, can deliver within a 50 mile radius of Lummi.
